We are a photographer and videographer team now based in Salt Lake City, UT we have recently relocated from AK. We do weddings and elopements, both local and destination, couples sessions, and portraits. I chose the name Hope Springs Photography because the day I got married was beautiful and perfect for me. It was the small simple beautiful wedding I had always wanted. I loved our special day but within 4 months my husband landed in the ER with a serious medical emergency and within 5 months my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. In the midst of all of it my world was really rocked, so I went out to do what I knew would bring me life, take photos.

Somewhere in the middle of an orchard of spring blossoms I was overwhelmed by the beauty and hope that is so much a part of nature and comes as a reminder that you need to celebrate the moments of goodness and joy in life. How precious it is to capture those moments that mean the most to us. Whether it’s a happy couple starting their journey, a child’s laughter, the excitement and sometimes nerves of maternity, a fresh spring blossom, a mountain peak dusted in snow. My name is Christi Walsh (previously Egli) and I moved to AK in 2018 , I had fallen in love with the epic beauty of it and a man. He proved love was definitely worth taking a chance on. After much discussion this last Dec, we decided to relocate to Salt Lake City, UT and move the business there. So, just to introduce myself, I’m a little bit adventurer and a little bit play it safe. I'm a little bit of wander the world a little bit of a homebody. I became interested in photography about 15 years ago and my passion and love for it have only grown with time. It's not my full time job and because of that I do have limited availability, but I will give my best effort to give you the excellence and quality you deserve with every shoot I do.

John Walsh

I moved to Alaska over 12 years ago because I fell in love with the state and its people. I did videography before moving to Alaska but really fell in love with it while helping the film crew during the filming of Disney’s Bears movie in Lake Clark National Park. I’m also a private pilot and loved showing off the beautiful state and the wonderful people who live there. However, I am now very excited about exploring and highlighting all UT has to offer and capturing the amazing moments of the people who are choosing to say I do here.
